Description

Nearly 50,000 people are employed by the financial services sector in Wales generating over £3.85 billion in gross value added for the economy. One of the industry’s key strengths in Wales is its diversity with a wide variety of organisations having a substantial presence in the area. Companies including Brewin Dolphin, KPMG, Admiral, OSTC and Eversheds represent a broad range of business areas from wealth management to accountancy and insurance to financial trading and legal services.

This seminar will include a panel discussion on how the financial services sector sustains jobs and growth, at which participation from the audience will be encouraged. A drinks reception will follow, providing an opportunity to discuss the issues raised in greater depth.

Speakers confirmed are:
Chris Cummings, Chief Executive, TheCityUK
Professor Brian Morgan, Cardiff School of Management, University of Wales Institute, Cardiff
Paul Pugh, Partner, Eversheds LLP
Kay Swinburne MEP

We will meet at 17:00 for a 17:30 start. The seminar will end at 19:30 and be followed by drinks.
