One Young World competition

COMPETITION CLOSED 6 JUNE 2011

TheCityUK is running a competition exclusively for employees of its member organisations. The winner will receive sponsorship to this year's One Young World Summit in Zurich, worth €3,000. One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre - known as the 'junior Davos'. The competition is open to those aged 18-28.

TheCityUK is soon to launch the Next Generation Vision (NGV). 21 young professionals from across the financial and related professional services industry were asked to define the industry they want in place when their time comes to lead it - their vision of what the industry can be in 10 to 15 years. Employees of our member organisations are invited to submit proposals (of no more than 500 words) for how they would contribute and deliver on the Next Generation Vision ambition statement:

'Our ambition is to harness the UK financial services industry, and the talent within it, to society's interest - so that every individual, every business and the nation as a whole can prosper.'

Five candidates will be shortlisted for interview with three NGV judges. From these, one will be chosen as the winner, who will receive full sponsorship to attend this year's One Young World Summit in Zurich 1st - 4th September 2011.
