We will promote the UK overseas as a world-class centre
for financial services and we will work closely with
business, governments and policy makers to ensure the UK remains in
a leading position.
We will act as a source of information and advice and a
primary point of contact for overseas businesses and
government delegations wishing to use or partner with financial
services specialists in the UK.
We will also encourage greater understanding of the UK
financial services industry’s role in society, its
contribution to the economy - supporting individuals, businesses
and public policy objectives, and its vital function at the heart
of the international financial structure.
We will support industry efforts to work with government
and regulators to ensure that EU and international
regulatory developments foster free and open markets for our
financial services industry, enabling the UK to continue to prosper
as a trading and business nation.
