Opportunities in China extend throughout the financial and professional services sectors, offering scope to promote the UK financial services sector as the:

TheCityUK - working in partnership

We work with the Law Society and UK Bar Council to arrange visits to China, while the Lord Chancellor's Training Scheme provides excellent opportunities to promote legal services.

The CBBC is arranging two Insurance in Practice seminars in Beijing and Chengdu and Going Global Seminars on raising capital, FDI & M&A. The Council will also hold a rural banking and finance seminar in Chengdu. The Futures and Options Association (FOA), meanwhile, is providing training for Exchange Managers.

We engage with the Lord Mayor of the City of London when he visits China. Senior Chinese contacts will also be invited to the UK to increase their exposure to the UK financial services sector.
