We are the only organisation that brings together firms in litigation, arbitration and mediation to show the full offer that London, the UK and UK-trained practitioners have for the global market.

We welcome the Government's recent Action Plan and the new, leading role for the Legal Services and Dispute Resolution Group. We bring together the leading institutions and firms providing litigation and arbitration services, working with our members to deliver an integrated and strategic approach to the overseas agenda.

Many organisations in London facilitate the resolution of disputes between international parties,
while extensive arbitration and mediation services have been developed to resolve disputes throughout the UK. Disputes can involve parties in a wide range of trades and sectors, including maritime, commodities, financial services and construction.

Our report Dispute Resolution in London and the UK 2010 showed the total number of disputes resolved through arbitration and mediation in the UK reached 34,541 in 2009, up over three quarters from 19,384 in 2007.
