National Conference 2023 highlights
Our National Conference 2023, sponsored by PwC and interactive investor, took place in Manchester on Thursday 23 November, welcoming a fantastic line-up of speakers.
Alongside the new Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Bim Afolami MP, we heard from Treasury Select Committee member, Dame Angela Eagle DBE MP, and Lou Cordwell OBE, Chair of the Greater Manchester Business Board.
We also had a great conversation with Dr Carol McNaughton Nicholls from Thinks Insight & Strategy, who talked about their latest research on policymaker and public perceptions of the industry, as well as two lively panel sessions. The first of these focused on how collaboration and innovation can develop the talent and skills companies need to grow; the second considered how financial and related professional services can enable growth across all regions and nations of the UK
