Responding to the Chancellor’s Budget Miles Celic, Chief Executive, TheCityUK, said:
The Chancellor has presented the right budget at the right time. Until more is known about the final shape, detail and timing of the Brexit deal with the EU, his first priority must be to provide certainty and economic stability.
He has provided a steady hand on the tiller. Measures such as additional funding for maths and digital skills – key for our industry now and into the future - support for scale-up capital, and greater investment in infrastructure and broadband, are all helpful. Most importantly, this budget gives the stability needed to support businesses in steering a steady course through Brexit, allowing them to remain focused on the job in hand - providing the best possible services to their customers and clients.
