International trade agreements and UK immigration policy: a practical blueprint for evolution

This report, produced in collaboration with EY, sets out proposals for how the UK can evolve trade and migration policy to benefit the economy.

The report details six recommendations across four key areas of mobility: business travel, service providers, youth mobility, and process and accessibility.

It urges UK policymakers to use the same speed, innovation and determination shown on domestic immigration policy during the early stages of Covid-19 to ensure the UK’s immigration system is agile enough to support the development of business-friendly free trade agreements post-Brexit.
