We work across established financial centres in the region, as well as developing trade markets such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Collectively they offer significant business opportunities for our industry and we seek to increase business opportunities in these markets.
This involves successfully developing international financial centres in Astana, Moscow and Ulaanbaatar. We help our members to understand the unique opportunities and barriers they may find in each market and provide support for wider cooperation on UK-Eurasia sectorial issues.
- Improving trade for UK-based financial and related professional services in the Eurasia region.
- Increasing trade in key sectors including capital market development, banking, law, asset management, insurance and FinTech.
- Partnering with countries in the Eurasia region to develop an open and well-regulated financial services sector, consistent with international best practice.
- Operating direct working agreements with the developing international financial centres of Astana and Moscow.
We regularly hold meetings and host roundtable events with key guest speakers from the likes of Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and Azerbaijan as well as taking delegations of members to these markets. Senior officials and policy experts from the UK support these events.
