The Strategic Executive Assistant™ course with the Adam Fidler Academy (July 2025)

Third party event

17 July 2025
09:30 - 15:30 BST

We are delighted to partner with the Adam Fidler Academy on this senior-level, strategic two-day course exclusively for senior Personal Assistants and Executive Assistants from our member organisations.

The course programme empowers current PAs and EAs to develop their business awareness and management skills to become personal leaders, enablers and business support managers in their own right. The programme emphasises higher-order skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking and emotional intelligence, to future-proof and refine the impact and value that a PA/EA brings to their organisation.

The course is authored and delivered by Adam Fidler, the UK’s preeminent trainer of Executive Assistants. You can read more about Adam Fidler and his Academy here: www.adamfidler.academy

The course will look at range of topics and provide some key takeaways to implement in the office. The agenda will cover:

  • A new definition of executive support – the differences between EAs and administrators.
  • The transition from PA to ‘true’ EA - a new job description that better describes and elevates the role and value of the EA.
  • Why AI will never oust the EA.
  • Leadership and management in the context of the EA role and how the EA role supports leadership.
  • Leadership styles questionnaire – how to work with different types of leaders.
  • Strategic versus operational thinking.
  • How to think strategically and see the bigger picture in all situations.
  • Tools to support, and frame, business strategy and commercial awareness in your organisation.
  • How the EA can become more strategic, and more involved, by offering thinking support versus purely logistical support.
  • An introduction to risk, compliance and governance.
  • Emotional Intelligence – the hallmark of a good leader and good EA.
  • Building personal impact, executive presence and gaining prestige.
  • Working in strategic partnership and through a solid alliance with those you support.
  • Adam Fidler’s Success Factors for the new EA – a competency model to follow and implement when back at work, and as a goal-setting tool.
  • Action plan for implementation and next steps when back at work.
