TheCityUK and techUK event: ‘Tech and the City – The Role of Capital Markets in Building British Tech Giants’
The event will look at the macro-economic factors affecting London’s competitiveness versus other financial centres for growing tech companies. It will delve into recent capital markets reforms to assess whether they are the key to unlocking London’s potential and consider what else the UK can do to retain high-growth companies and potential tech giants.
The event will comprise a series of keynote and panel sessions, led by Miles Celic OBE, Chief Executive Officer, TheCityUK and Julian David, Chief Executive Officer, techUK. The panels will look at enhancing access to capital markets for UK tech businesses, and London’s potential and success for high tech, high growth companies. They will provide attendees with an understanding of the policy and regulatory opportunities and challenges, as well as practical takeaways.
We are also delighted to confirm that Lucy Rigby KC MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury will deliver a keynote speech during the event.
