Reporting to (job title): Head of Public Affairs
Context for the role: TheCityUK is the member-led representative body for the UK-based financial and related professional services industry.
One of TheCityUK’s strategic priorities is promoting the strength and opportunity of the UK regions and nations, reflecting the fact that two thirds of the industry’s 2.3 million jobs are beyond the M25.
Objective of role: The job holder will deliver activity supporting TheCityUK’s dedicated Regions & Nations Programme. This will involve engagement with members, policymakers, and local stakeholders to drive and promote our industry’s presence and contribution across the UK.
The job holder will work closely with the Head of Public Affairs and other senior colleagues in delivering against TheCityUK’s objectives in this area.
Public Affairs Programme Delivery:
This role is based in London but will involve travel elsewhere in the UK. TheCityUK office is a small and close-knit team with a flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities. It is essential that the candidate appreciates this and can work well in this environment.
