Operations Coordinator

Job title: Operations Coordinator
Reporting to (job title): Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO).
Objective of role: Work with the COO/CFO to improve project management and communication across the organisation.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Manage the co-ordination, organisation and internal communication of TheCityUK’s planned calendar of activity across the company related to member/stakeholder facing output.
  • Support the Executive Committee in the delivery of a new operating model and take day-to-day responsibility for ensuring practices are in place and are implemented to deliver role and strategic clarity for all staff as set out in the Organisational Health Index.
  • Co-create and design the processes necessary to share information through the appropriate channels.
  • Assist colleagues with the planning of member facing output and activities to ensure there is an even spread of member engagement opportunities throughout the year.
  • Support the Executive Committee and the Senior Management Group as an early warning system of capacity crunch issues.
  • Act as the day-to-day champion for ensuring that project management standards and systems are utilised, maintained and, where necessary, improved.
  • Ensure relevant parts of the company are involved in the management of projects and take day-to-day responsibility for delivery when required.
  • Help to increase the usage of the CRM system across the organisation.
  • Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and may be requested by management.

Person Specification

  • A desire to continually improve systems and processes
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience, preferably within the financial or professional services sectors.
  • Experience in project management and delivery or experience in marketing operations preferred.
  • Highly organised and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tactful yet tenacious; able to work in a collegial manner but with appropriate authority.
  • Open to feedback and constructive challenge.
