TheCityUK and industry partners respond to the UNFCCC Climate Finance Work Programme 

We have responded to the UNFCCC’s climate finance work programme, setting out priorities to help deliver the New Collective Quantified Goal and scale finance for developing countries. Their response highlights the need for strong public finance, better conditions for private investment, more support for adaptation, and structured engagement with the private sector.

Bridging the infrastructure funding gap

Our latest report, produced in partnership with Freshfields, outlines strategies to attract large-scale private investment into UK infrastructure. It proposes improving financial and regulatory frameworks and highlights the importance of exporting British expertise to global markets. The report urges joint efforts between government and industry to reinforce the UK's position in infrastructure and foster international growth.
