This webinar will discuss the UK’s potential accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) with The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Minister of State for Trade Policy in the Department for International Trade, and Lukas May, Deputy Chief Negotiator for CPTPP.
The UK’s application to join the CPTPP sends the clearest signal yet that Britain is determined to make the case for open global markets and trade, and to be ambitious and outward-looking in its trade and investment policy. This event will discuss the UK Government’s negotiating priorities, how it will work with other CPTPP members on key priority areas for services trade and the potential benefits that joining this significant free trade area would bring for the financial and related professional services industry.
A Q&A session with Lukas May will take place following opening remarks by Minister Hands.
