TheCityUK has appointed former MP Emma Reynolds as its new Managing Director, Public Affairs, Policy & Research. She will join the organisation on 15 June.
Emma was previously MP for Wolverhampton North East, Labour Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Shadow Europe Minister and member of the House of Commons Brexit and Health Select Committees. She has also held various other shadow ministerial roles and brings prior trade association and private sector experience in public affairs.
Emma joins TheCityUK at an important time for the industry and the organisation. She will work closely with members and key stakeholders to progress the industry’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and play a central role in continuing to embed and take forward the organisation’s new strategy.
Emma Reynolds said,

Emma’s appointment follows a search conducted by Odgers Berndtson and a rigorous selection process.
